Trapacana is one of the busiest weekly parties in Sacramento. After being around for 3 years they needed to do a rebranding and they asked me to do it. I wanted to do something that push the creative boundaries of what you normally see as club promotion in Sacramento, appeal to a larger audience than their typical weekly attendees, but also still connected to the Trapacana faithful. Their original branding was rooted in a sort of Robert Rodriguez/Tarantino style. I wanted to make something that was more The French Connection/Devils Rejects. Below can see the poster series that developed from our photo shoot, with this aesthetic in mind, that was also influenced by the tag line I came up with “Trafficking Bass”.
