As the Teacher’s Assistant for Sacramento City College’s Introduction to Digital Imaging section of the Graphic Communication department, Christopher Hopkins was responsible for creating a section-wide project utilizing each of the student’s work. In 2012 he created a project wherein they created a section-wide Digital Imaging crowd-sourced version of Dr. Suess’ Green Eggs and Ham. Each of more than 100 students in the section was responsible for creating a one-word frame- to be used frame by frame- to tell the classic children’s story. The frames replaced traditional type and text to tell an interesting visual tale while staying true to the original manuscript 100%. Upon completion of the student’s work Christopher designed the book, frame by frame, designed 50 additional filler frames, and produced the printable InDesign file which was made available for at-cost purchase to the students as well as their friends and family.
